Like a shark with dentures, this was vicious and stupid at the same time.

A surprisingly efficient German horror movie that started with a good idea (instead of children terrorizing an island it's oldies -- kind of the opposite of Who Can Kill A Child) and went harder than it had to. Unfortunately, it was the same for the WTFs.

(Pop quiz: you have to choose between saving your 15-year-old daughter and your ex, who do you choose? Guess again... )

6.5/10
Clunky for the first act
And their was a lot of fluff that didn't need to be their.
The pacing began to be dragged down with it.
And their was definitely scenes that
we were forced to endure that lead nowhere.
Then at the end from the Kim scene the movie just seemed to run out of moment/Gas then
boom sudden end, all rapped up..(for now?)
That being said past all the old people being treated like animals, this made a decent
once worth watch horror movie.
I liked the deaths, I loved the filth and mess
and I have to say the actors they got
to play the old people were
absolutely on point and scary to fcuk.

Kim and the kid we're annoying to fcuk and some scenes and decisions made no sense
and we're just plain stupid.
Their are a ton of foreign horror movies on Netflix and all of them way better but I am glad I've watched this once after a good friend recommended it to me after she'd viewed it Herself.

I feel like this movie humiliates the elderly, making them look disgusting and insane, and calls it horror. Like... Why? Ironic that the message is to honor and respect them. Idk, I guess this movie wasn't for me.

I’m surprised to see such a low overall rating. Beautifully shot, thrilling at times, and very creepy. Some of the buildups were a little long and there wasn’t much to the plot, but the visuals more than made up for that.

The film has its moments but it is a little confused. In trying to be a satire on the mistreatment of old people AND a violent piece of horror, the movie's plotting becomes muddled and frustrating.

Old people are revolting against the population and going on a rampage in a german town. They're very creepy and the movie is atmospheric and fast paced. It's also a social critic on the sorry state of the medical system for old people and it's quite shocking, but sometimes exagerated. We get some cool gory kills and my favorite part was the siege *Night of the Living Dead* style. Wasn't a big fan of the ending but it leaves potential for a continuation.

I’ve always complained about the lack of good foreign horror content on Netflix as most of them are garbage. Finally, we got a decent foreign horror from Germany. This backwoods slasher/exploitation film is entertaining, thrilling, and surprisingly brutal. Absolutely oozing foggy, spooky atmosphere that I love so much, and features some legitimately scary moments and performances in it. As the title suggests, the film exploits old people with mental illnesses for being weird and creepy which I think is perfectly sufficient for the premise. I really dig the choice to humanize them which make this special. The family drama is fully engaging and most of the emotional beats this film goes for are genuinely moving. I can definitely see some similarities between this and Ti West's X, though for me this one is far superior.
