20 years after his escape from Impel Down, the legendary pirate Shiki, the Golden Lion, reappears causing massive upheaval to the Marines. During his long seclusion, he was able to come up with a scheme to bring the World Government to his knees. On his way to execute the plan, Shiki crosses paths with the Straw Hat Pirates and becomes so impressed with Nami's knowledge of meteorology that he abducts her to forcedly enlist her into his crew. Luffy and the gang end up on a strange land populated with monstrous beasts as they desperately search for Shiki and Nami.

Never seen any of the One Piece movies before and I thought it would be time to watch one. Like most times with movies of Shounen Anime the animation is fantastic and the story isn't really canon to the show itself. One Piece: Strong World sees the Straw Hats before the timeskip, trying to stop the legendary pirate Shiki the Golden Lion. A pirate who was feared during the time of Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard. Shiki is out to destroy the east blue to shake up the world. Like you can expect Luffy and his crew want to defend the place were most of the crew has their roots. The battles are fun, the characters on point and it is lovely to see them not as strong as they are today. One Piece: Strong World is a fun One Piece movie that any fan of the manga or anime will enjoy.
