As CFO, Alexander Meier fights for the survival of the long-established Walser company – dutifully, quickly and perfectionist to the point of self-abandonment. When Hans-Werner Brockmann, an unscrupulous top manager, is appointed, he gets involved in a power struggle that increasingly throws him off track. [AtlàntidaFF] The power confrontation between two executives serves to show the business life, workalcoholism and a spiral of responsibilities. The director expresses it in the car journeys, which always take place inside a tunnel, a closed space in which there is only one direction. The verbal confrontations provide the best scenes, but the search for balance is what hurts the film the most.
