Kawasaki worker Nitta Tokujiro is intrigued by Kyoko, who solicits him on a street corner to sing Beethoven's Ninth, and he half-heartedly joins the Egorado Choir out of curiosity. However, when Tokujiro discovers that Kyoko is attracted to the group's leader, Katsuhiko, he distances himself from the group's activities.
