Wonderful landscapes and acting. Meryl Streep is amazing and touching.
The colonial atmosphere was embarrassing at times but it's better than the book.

Lovely story. Meryl Streep is oh so subtle. Fantastic cinematography. Story of an era. I can see why Sydney Pollock is so highly recommended.

Another film from the list I had high expectations for that I didn’t feel this film fulfilled. Something felt missing-but the landscape and the beautiful outfits and the native people were a highlight of this film.

I love some Robert Redford. There are some beautiful landscapes. Other than that this was long and a slow love story. It's well made and I can see why it won some awards but this was too boring for me.

The atmospheric scenery, music, storyline and acting make this film my all time favourite.
