@sebastienfaune almost the story of my life actually :) But at least she invited him to join. Things there were doing together means much more than just loving each other, loves comes from achieving things together.

A bit thin, and certainly nowhere near as good as some other of the movies in this genre, but the cast is excellent, the script is clever, and it all feels genuinely sweet.

The friendship between the three male leads is more engaging than the central mystery/romance. Cliched teen movie is better because of an enjoyable cast of actors.

"Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?[...]
Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?"

Always look at what you have in life, even If It's small things, because they can be the big things.. specially friendship, and you can't always get everything in life, somethings are not meant to be, and you might already have a miracle in your life. A lovely film, I do love John green's stuff also I loved the message behind it.. deep...

Excellent film. I gave it an 8/10 due to the different ending than what is in the novel. The movie ends with something that is a lesson we can (and should) all take to heart and understand, it's much more realistic, and it explains more as well. The novel cut off right at the climax of the story, whereas here it delves into the "why" of things and the sad reality of some things in the world. While it changes from being a mystery to a learning/life experience (which is very much like The Perks of Being a Wallflower), it is much better overall and a satisfying conclusion to the story which I think the novel lacked in comparison.

I usually like this sort of independent movies but this one didn't get to me. It was sweet but a bit dull.

Bearing in my mind that this is my least favourite John Green Book I think the movie did a pretty fine job. Yeah, the acting was halfway decent and the story is nothing exciting anyway.

But it's a good film to be able to have on in the background. The concept has always been good but the execution in both the book and the film wasn't good enough for me.
