My favorite movie is still part 3 (Katie and Christie as children) but this is here is still better than Part 4 Marked Ones - but not much. I think at one point in the series the producers forgot what made the paranormal activity franchise such a success - it was the fact that the first three movies were plain scary by showing simple uncomfortable, subtle things. When your partner is standing at your bedside at night, simply staring at you for hours and not moving - THIS is much more frightening and disturbing than seeing a bunch of satanists people or a completely (LOST like) unrealistic demon running through the floors. 6/10 because I like first person perspective/found footage movies :)

The 3D effects really did added another dimension. I was so scared by it! If you're looking for a good horror movie to see in the movie theater, definitely pick this one in 3D!

**Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015)**: ***5/10*** *(Meh, Nothing Remarkable)*

---
One step forward and two steps back! “The Ghost Dimension” seeks to breathe new life into a tired brand, but its fresh take ultimately hurts the franchise more than it helps. The concept of “a special camera that can see spirits” may have seemed intriguing at first, but in practice, it runs counter to the entire premise of the “Paranormal Activity” franchise . After all, it’s far more unsettling to speculate about what a demon may look like than actually seeing one. Moreover, the horror element is diminished if the audience knows the demons’ next move; the film becomes little more than a collection of cheap scares tossed in for effect. The story is poorly written; the characters are among the franchise’s most inept yet, and they’ll make you scratch your head despite the performers’ best efforts. “The Ghost Dimension” presented some new lore, but ultimately failed to achieve anything substantial. In any case, as it is, it’s a disappointing sixth entry in a franchise that has been pushed through the Hollywood meat grinder to cash in on the first film’s success.

Why did the dude have a Dead Trigger 2 poster on his wall? :D
One of the most random things I've ever seen in a movie.

Superb
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
Extended Version With
Alternate Ending.
(theatrical ending also)
At 10 million dollars
this installment is the most
expensive one made of the
entire franchise.
This is my favourite one of
the entire franchise,
it absolutely rocks from
start to finish, the pacing
is amazing and the shit going
down is Sensational.
this is definitely the strongest entry
of the franchise, it's not
messing around.
the way they tie it all in
with the lore and history
of the franchise is outstanding
and super interesting, I love
all the Timey Wimey stuff,
These are definitely my
favourite characters and
family of the series (Mike
was hilarious).
they were all super likable
and I definitely felt for the
situation they were in,
unlike all
the others they weren't
fcuking around in the first
place to bring it on even
more so, plus they were the
quickest to react when shit
went sideways.
Awesome installment
plenty going off and a solid
Horror for my 31 days of Horror
definitely time well spent.
and now on to
Paranormal Activity: Next Of Kin (7)
(Paranormal Activity: The Other Side)
(8) in development hell.

The movie was good and I’m pretty sure REC influenced the screenplay. Lots of special effects and scary scenes. Still predictable as the first movies of the saga, but this is the best one so far.

An abysmal mess, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is a completely inept horror film. Interconnecting itself with part 3, the story follows the new owners of Katie and Kristi’s childhood home (rebuilt after a fire) as they discover old VHS tapes of the kids being trained by a cult leader and an unusual video camera with unique properties that enables it to pick up different visual spectrums that show that there are entities moving throughout the house unseen by the naked eye. The film starts out alright, but within 20 minutes it’s off to crazy town and doesn’t let up. Nothing about it is scary or frightening in the least, and there’s no investment in the characters. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is a pathetic entry into the series, and hopefully the death knell.

>_Fuck me, Ryan! Next time I'm just gonna stay at mom's!_

I know this is usually the case with horror movies but these parents were the worst

· I don't understand why they kept letting their daughter continue to sleep in her room once fully aware of what was going on and that she was the central focus????

· and omfg they kept her demonic scribbles on the wall :joy: didn't even bother washing them off after finding out what they were AND continued to let her sleep in there LORD :joy:

· _“Lee, promise us you're gonna stop talking to Tobi.” “...I promise.”_ YEAH, that oughta do it! :thumbsup_tone1:

So in a sense, adding in time travel is a perfect way to end this declining but entertaining series just to further confuse and piss people off than they already were.

More of the same. The 4D effects are new, but this is still a tired genre.
