Just an absolute fantastic live action of Peter Pan finally made by Disney after all the others that have been made throughout the years. The casting is truly perfect, especially for Peter Pan and Wendy. The CGI and sets help make this film a great spectacle of a coming of age story that brings the audience to tears. The plot development other than the beginning being a bit rushed and some plot points being glossed over, was good. But it doesn't matter that some points were glossed over as the story is so well known that there is no need to make this film for an audience that knows nothing. The insight into Peter's and Hook's relationship was a great touch as well as Wendy being the motherly figure that all lost boys ran away from. Just all in all nothing short of perfection for Disney with pixie dust sprinkled on top in an incredible way.

Disney is worthless anymore, everything is put out there to propagandize and they have done their level best to destroy the beloved story of Peter Pan! This movie is total garbage.

I completely agree with Sopherian van Ettinger's review, on all points, so won't repeat them here. Additionally, I think Alexander Moloney's acting was very poor (or maybe it was just the script and direction he had to work with) but he came across as wooden and lifeless, with no real emotion most of the time. He certainly didn't make Peter Pan in any way a likeable or identifiable character. Jeremy Sumpter did far better in the 2003 film - which was altogether a far superior production. Forget this weak woke travesty and watch the 2003 film instead if you want a far higher quality Peter Pan film to watch with your children.

Well, I certainly found plenty of people to add to my block list from the comments on this movie

No, the movie is nothing special, but anybody who thinks they're making a real criticism by using the word "woke" needs to come back to reality.

This movie is being targeted by the far right across the internet. Don't take any ratings or comments as useful information, you're on your own for this one. Maybe just watch it and find out. It's perfectly fine for children to watch, so maybe just put it on and find out. The only way it's not suitable for children is if you have a middle-aged man shouting at the screen behind them.

@david1780 There is no magic because it is badly made, not because they changed aspects of the story. If they don't change anything, it still can be bad.

Why they keep changing something is being one way for years!!!! Tinkerbell is blonde, blue eyes with curve. now.. well you know.

I can't wait until the remake of Tarzan as African-American.... I bet they won't do it.

I don't have anything against it. but don't change what's is being for years for a political view.

@yunisbelm Your problem with this movie is that this child isn't as fuckable to you as the previous children?

1/10 woke sh!t
It only gets the 1/10 because I can’t give it a 0/10, so the 1 is just for the name Peter Pan.
This is the most woke/pc cr@p you could imagine, don’t inflect this on yourself or your children!
If your given a copy of this, burn it, stump on it, eat it, poop it out, scoop it up and then rub it in the face of the person that gave it to you……

@jackdinn You know that Disney is one of the most successful capitalist enterprises ever, right?

@jackdoddy Might have been at one time, but they became infected. Producing nothing but social engineering, divisive, destructive, propaganda. Such a pity,

@jackdinn They are more successful than ever. You have fallen victim to indoctrination that has changed _your_ ideology, they haven't changed theirs. Disney has almost always produced media that is very slightly progressive - not enough to _actually_ be progressive, but enough to not lose customers by being behind the times. They don't have a stance on anything political, they just produce value for shareholders by trying to reflect the views of its viewers without 'going too far'.

It's a little ironic that your ilk are accusing them of indoctrinating the world with some progressive worldview, when the political positions they might show in a movie - in passing, never as the sole focus - is always at least a decade out of date. It's a very calculated position that they've taken for at least the entire time we've both been alive.

Disney is still the same horribly exploitative, uber-capitalist, union/strike-busing, mega-corporation that churns out paint-by-numbers media with just enough skill and artistry to lift it above that and keep it at the top of the industry. It's a right-wing dream - a gigantic testimonial you could put on the marketing poster for capitalism.

I really want you to think about what has happened. Disney didn't change. You were radicalized. Peter Pan is not part of the conspiracy.

@jackdoddy If you can't see the wave of destruction of anyone over 35's childhood in all aspects of "entertainment" then i can't help you. I can't think of a single franchise or cultural anchor from my younger life that is still watchable (apart from the originals ofc). You can keep telling me not to believe my own "lying eyes" but meh, cant do that I'm afraid. I shall just keep my money.

@jackdinn What has happened is that you've grown up. You've also been red pilled by one or many of the online grifters that have _created_ this panic. The various entertainment industries have always been awful in their own ways, but they have never, ever been hubs of progressivism seeking to shove 'their' (we all know who they are) politics down your throat. They do what's best for the shareholders - take a successful IP and stretch it and clone it and beat it to death, then move onto the next. After 20-30 years they try to revive the old IP for another round of flogging where they've changed it just enough to keep the copyright going and new audiences interested. That's your buddy capitalism, not some mind virus.

Ironically, selling the belief in the mind virus infecting the Hollywood ~~je~~elites or whatever it is your grifter is telling you, is specifically designed to get you to open your wallet to them. They take your money and instruct you to hate all movies on principle. It's not a good deal, you should consider trying something else.

@jackdoddy "They do what's best for the shareholders" You'll be telling me companies like Anheuser Busch are not "progressive", are not on board with the global agenda and I'm just misguided. Someone is living in denial for certain. I advise you just put down the seriously evil ideologies that have been tried so many times already, back away slowly and admit that the modern world was built by capitalism. Whatever you are alluding to is just for children and can only destroy and kill.
Anyhow, Im done now.

Another one of these days' racist movies in the name of the so-called wokeness. Changing race of canon characters for racial reasons (while destroying canon) should be seriously banned.
One day society will grow smarter and look back with shame to 'that time when we made a bunch of purposefully racist movies in the cause against racism'. :unamused:
