Playboy songwriter Brad Allen's succession of romances annoys his neighbor, interior designer Jan Morrow, who shares a telephone party line with him and hears all his breezy routines. After Jan unsuccessfully lodges a complaint against him, Brad sets about to seduce her in the guise of a sincere and upstanding Texas rancher. When mutual friend Jonathan discovers that his best friend is moving in on the girl he desires, however, sparks fly.

Day and Hudson deliver so much charm and charisma in this memorable romcom. Thelma Ritter brings laughter as the ‘agony aunt’ character and Tony Randall plays his part well too, in making sparks fly between the two leads. The main soundtrack is just as catchy, sung by Doris Day herself. ‘Oh, there must be a pillow-talkin’ boy for me!’

Some of the plot and style reminded me of _Down With Love_! I've been hoping to find a similar movie for a few months now so I'm really glad this caught my eye at the library while I was looking for Cary Grant films lol.

Paco Cinema: Image and sound 3,75 / 5. Many years without seeing it, very colorful, great chemistry between Doris Day and Rock Hudson that are great

When most people think about Rom Com’s of the mid-century, it won’t take long for the names of Doris Day and Rock Hudson to be mentioned. Specifically, Pillow Talk will be the movie they mention...and most that mention it today probably haven’t seen it. And that’s a shame.
