Still love rewatching it - Watched it the first time in the cincema when it was released for europe (Sadly with german sync).

It is the perfect 80's B-Movie made in this century.
Only Movie made in this fashion I like better is Machete.

Great cheesiness, totally liked it.

I watched it in the Grindhouse Feature. And combined with the trailers, it's really enjoyable.

But DeathProof. Man. What a waste :/ Anyway. Planet Terror, great Movie!

All I can say is that this is a typical terrible parody of whatever cliché you can have in a zombie-horror movie but still so great to watch... 10/10 would watch again

I suppose it was okay for what it was designed to be: a spoof of the old B-movie horror/zombie/action genres. IMO, it was completely unremarkable in ANY category, however. Overall, though, I just found it to be over-the-top silly; not "funny" silly, but just stupid. It didn't impress me even as a satire. Just kind of a waste of time. I would skip this one if I had it to do over again. I _will_ say this about it, however: Don't watch it while you're trying to eat.

I found a lot to like while watching "Planet Terror". Even though this movie is a tip of the hat to the old scratchy rough and dirty Grindhouse features from years past, this movie looks great! I really like the grainy production quality. Rose McGowan is tough and tender at once and is a great choice for the role of Cherry Darling. Two other scene-stealers are Jeff Fahey and Michael Biehn. I also appreciated the small Bruce Willis part.

The story is typical zombie fare but the characters keep things fun. The problem is that this movie didn't know when to stop. The final sequence when the survivors try and escape to a pair of helicopters seemed like it would never end. The massive amounts of blood guts and other melted and bubbling body parts made me roll my eyes more than anything, yet that was probably the point of the movie all along.

I guess I enjoyed "Planet Terror" mostly for the entertaining way the filmmakers creatively paid tribute to their past love of schlock cinema. Seriously though, if you're put off by excessive gore stay away from this movie.

If you're a fan of old cheesy horror and zombie movies, you'll probably like it. I don't see how people can complain about it being illogical or stupid when it's supposed to be. The characters are decent clichés for this type of movie. Probably not enough really interesting scenes to make this movie massively re-watchable. The scenes are mostly cgi gore set pieces and someone moving from a to b fighting. I don't think this movie ever wanted to be more than that. I'd have have liked more of a horror atmosphere sometimes. Brolin as the doctor is the only actor, together with the direction, that really nails some tense atmosphere. More cheese homage than anything. Pretty fun.

Very silly! Rodriquez tried too hard. Watch "Desperados" instead it's the much, much better movie…
