Hélène, a 33-year-old woman from Bordeaux, France, lives happily as a couple with Mathieu, her husband of many years. Her life turns upside down the day she learns she has a rare lung disease. Thanks to a blog, she discovers Norway and decides to follow her instinct. Despite all the love she has for her life partner Mathieu, who is very supportive through her illness, she leaves him behind in France and will cross all Europe to Norway alone in search of a new path and to meet a blogger named Mister that she found on the internet.

More than Ever is like a friend that borrows 10 bucks with a promise to pay you back, the whole time thinking he's so charming that you're sure to let it slide. The film starts out announcing it's about a young woman with a terminal illness, with the tacit assurances it won't be as cliché and melodramatic as every other film about a young person with a terminal illness. But sadly, it is. A blend of Who's Life Is It Anyway (1981) and Love Story (1970) with a little Peaceful / De Son Vivant (2021) thrown in, More Than Ever above all proves that all couples are boring, annoying and cringe, even the ones with a terminally ill partner.
