I did not expect it to be this good. Mixed feelings about the end, though.

It was interesting, with a good presentation of what time travel could entail... But it got sloppy towards the end!

Gaping plot hole: the time travellers each experience a to them linear time narrative, but somehow David sees his present self in a 10 year old home movie?! That should not have been in David's "original" history at all, since it's only AFTER seeing this home video that he travels back to that birthday party. Of course: had he not seen himself in the video, he never would have built the time machine in the first place...

There is simply no getting around the fact that a circular causality (causal nexus) like this never, ever works when the time traveller's personal timeline is linear (or immutable). The only way they could have swung it would have been by going fully mutable (as in: there is only one timeline, which everyone shares), but even then a circular causality would still be considered a paradox.

Just watched this movie for the first time. But this page says I watched it Jan 26, 2015. The movie hadn't even come out at that point! Are you messing with me Trakt??
_In all seriousness, I probably confused this movie with another .. Right? RIGHT!?_

Unnecessary and disturbing the entire film was shot with the same onboard camera view. And what the fuck happened in that ending? In fact, all trips have inconsistencies, they didn't stop to try to make sense.

A super smart teen assembles a time machine left behind by his genius father. With help from his friends, they use the time machine to achieve stupid things that teens think are important and end up screwing themselves over.

This movie looks good, can be exciting, and does a good job of making you care about the characters. As it draws nearer to its conclusion, the consequences of their time traveling starts to surface. And speaking of the conclusion, it's unsatisfying.

They should have hired an actual technical advisor instead of placing random "scientific" words in the plot
