I laughed so much while I was watching this. Oh god, amazing film!

b bunch of assholes destroy a neighborhood. cool message for an already fucked up generation. there´s is absolutely noting good to say about this movie. pure trash.

This movie stired up quite a lot of dust in the Netherlands.

A girl in a small town called Haren wanted to set up a birthday party through Facebook. But she forgot to set in the settings that the party was only meant for friends. So within a couple of days more than 50.000 people said that they would come. The police and the mayor of Haren and the Dutch media (who really balloned the whole thing up to what it eventually became) kept saying that there was no party, and that no one should come. Off course people wanted to test that out and came anyway.

The end result? No party off course, but instead massive riots by normal everyday students and "professional" hooligans that turned the small town upside down leaving behind several severe injured people, Burned out cars, millions of Euro's in damages and quite possibly a change in the Dutch constitution so that the hooligans can be more easily tracked down and pay for the damages they did.

All because a innocent girl forgot to cross off a setting to make her party private on Facebook....

i know 9/10 is a very high rating for this movie but it’s the perfect party movie imo

The movie ain't bad, but there's nothing much to watch. It's just a bunch of teens wreaking havoc in a neighborhood. The characters, the teens who are trying too hard to do some cool stuff, are unlikeable - if not detestable. Which makes sense actually, since they're teens anyway, but there is hardly anything to let the audience have any sympathy with them. Except Thomas, the main character, which seems to retain common sense, but in the end it is downplayed.

Got funnier towards the end or perhaps that was just the much needed herbal aid halfway through to make things more interesting... lots of titties though...almost, dare i say, too many

Damn, that was huge... and crazy, simply EPIC! I mean the party.
The movie itself was OK, I was not bored even one second of it.

Watched about two minutes of this. Not Funny. This is though. The fat nerdy kid was in a pron!

Makes the movie even more terrible IMO

Even as far as raunchy misogynistic teen party comedies go, this was 90 minutes of unbelievable ridiculousness. I hated every character.

This did NOT need to be a found footage film.

Weird Science without the fantasy. Hangover without the likeable characters. Superbad without the comedy.

Almost irresponsible.

**Me 10 years later watching this at home**: I can't imagine the legal fees they will have to pay. I think it's insane that this is based on an event that actually happened.

Epic fun party movie; the best party movie I have ever seen. I want to go to a party like this at least once in my life. There isn't much of a plot to this movie; it is just about two friends trying to put together a massive party for their friend's birthday that is it. The real purpose of this movie is the out of control, fantasy, over the top, unbelievable, crazy, insane party - and what a party it was! I thought the movie was awesomely funny, and enjoyed most of it. By most of it, like others have said the movie has a slow start and doesn't really pick up until just after the party starts. Once the party starts, the movie starts getting fun, and some moments I felt like I was there. This movie isn't for everyone (like the critics), it is mindless fun. The people behind Project X promoted this movie as the best epic party movie of all time, they never once claimed that this movie had an in depth story.
