Color filled explosion of high octane fun. Saw it twice during the limited theater run and have my Bluray preordered.

This movie condenses everything Studio Trigger has done down into a small 2-hour package and blasts it at you with it's technicolor polygons. The story is a little shaky to say the least but that's not why you go to see it. You go to see absurd fight scenes and over-the-top action which this movie has in spades.

Lio and Galo
Galo and Lio
They go together as well as beans and rice.
That resuscitation was the apex.

Dumbass to call the mecha of the final battle Deus Ex Machina.

I wouldn't expect anything bad in the technical aspects, but the script is so predictable that it could even be a form of self-criticism, since they used a metalinguistic commentary!

I need to see more Trigger productions, the ones I saw were not so good: Kiznaiver (anyone remember this?), Darling in the Franxx (could anyone forget this?), Space Patrol Luluco (could someone make a movie of this?).

Anime BS at its absolute finest. Just insane, braindead fun with gorgeous animation.

They should've let us bring our pajamas, a bowl of cereal and a blanket to sit on so we could be 10 years old and watching Saturday morning cartoons again.

Completely absurd anime movie by the same creators as Kill la Kill. A team of firefighters gets mixed up in a plot to save humanity at the cost of the planet earth. A few standout things for me - clean 3D animation, bright colours and a wild mix of different art styles throughout the movie, amazing music and fun fight scenes, especially the interaction between the text and the battle scenes. Unfortunately you just have to shrug and say OK to some logical flaws, even with the movie nodding at them (A giant robot named Deus X Machina). Fun and cute with cool lore. The sub voice acting is pretty good but Lucia's voice is quite grating and annoying. There's so much yelling, too. I should've protected my ears lol
