This movie was fun! :)

After hearing high praise for _Puss in Boots: The Last Wish_, I figured it was about to time to go back and watch the original, which I somehow never saw despite being a big fan of _Shrek 2_. While not quite as clever as the film where the character debuted, this origin story still offers an entertaining, if slight, adventure. It does feel more kid-focused, with the running theme being "look at the cute cats doing cute things", but there's still a fair amount of humor for older audiences. Even if there wasn't, it's not as if older audiences are impervious to the charm of cute cats doing cute things. The animation is starting to show its age, but this is easily overlooked thanks to visually creative ideas and solid execution that works regardless of animation detail/fidelity. That said, it will still be interesting to see how the new one looks in comparison. With respect to the story, it's pretty dang simple (again, kid-focused), but it gets the job done and the voice actors are able to sell the characters despite the simplicity.

I freaking love this movie - from the animation to the voice acting to the world building - all of it top notch

Planned on checking out the sequel, but had never seen the original front to back. Well constructed humour in an overall enjoyable little romp. Drags a bit in the middle despite only being roughly 80 mins total sans credits. A worthy feature for kids and adults alike. Looked great on the oled in dv as well. 7.4

A fun sendup of swashbuckling adventure with some exciting setpieces and some great animation. Nothing more or less than that.

Not good but not bad just watchable which is better than some of the Shrek movies.

Personally it wasn't a _bad_ movie. It was just extremely boring.

Movie has it's good moments, but sadly a predictable story. Obviously the audience is young kids and they prefer seeing characters and a few gags, but I personally didn't like it, maybe I'm too old for it. However it doesn't excuse the many plot holes and the predictable story.

One of the best animated movies. Cute, funny and interesting too.

Why is this getting a sequel?

Divertido e envolvente. Gostei. Aquele ovo fala sério!
