Like some others, I never saw any other version other than this one but this one I liked. Kind of a neat spin on vampirism/zombie crossovers. The ending was (for me) kind of unexpected, so I give kudos to them for that. Also, I thought the makeup/effects were outstandingly done. Musical score, lighting, supporting cast...this was a well-rounded - if somewhat bland - movie. By "bland" I mean, there was nothing earth-shatteringly shocking about it but it was definitely interesting enough to hold my attention for the full 1 hr, 48 minutes. It's not gruesomely violent, although there are some pretty intense scenes (but this isn't _Hostel_ -like torture porn stuff) nor is it overly gory, but I think it would be decent enough to hold the attention of almost anyone that likes a good scary/thriller movie. Additionally, they don't take forever to get into the heart of the story, which is a huge plus for me. There's not a ton of backstory so they don't take forever trying to build on it. Overall, I thought this was a really decent film.
