Struck me as the quintessential teen drama, but then I remembered Romeo & Juliet and Pyramus & Thisbe. Still trying to understand the popular fixation with James Dean. Sure, he's pretty, and yes, I've seen all three of his movies, but I still haven't been impressed by his talent.

I've been meaning to see this since I saw La La Land and I finally got around to it. This is a teen drama but man were teens a lot different in the 50s. Driving cars off the cliff in a game of chicken is no joke and they sure do fall in love fast. Anyway, James Dean is pretty great.

As Ryan Gosling would say "I got the bullets!"

Romance, fast cars, high school bullies and dysfunctional families. This classic film sets the tone for many future teenage dramas to come.
Dean shines and acts as effortlessly as the way we breathe. Natalie Wood does a good performance as Judy with similar family problems to Dean. Sal Mineo is a brilliant supporting actor and his shyness complements Dean’s quirkyness. I have seen the film at least five times and am still noticing hidden coded messages. They often reveal the hidden sexuality of the characters. Look what’s inside Plato’s Locker and notice how many times the jacket is passed around.
‘Rebel’ is ageless and I never tire of this masterpiece.

This movie really impacted the way teenagers were portrayed on screen thanks to James Dean's quirky acting, this film is a miracle and is the one that is really worth checking out.

Despite this movie being the obvious classic as it is, I must admit the beginning of the movie was the high point of this film, as it started to stray away from the plot towards the end. I still love this movie, seeing it as the 50's film which was it's first to bring light on "teenage rebellion" rather than the "Goody-good" films about romance and love that was common in those days. Watching the film in that mindset made me appreciate this movie in a much better way.

Rebel Without A Cause certainly has some of that 1950's magic, but it doesn't quite live up to its reputation. James Dean feels like he's punching above his weight. Although worth a watch, the story wasn't as convincing as it set out to be.

First time I saw it, I thought it was a cheesy, dated movie. Revisiting it years later thanks to the new 4k bluray, I enjoy it more now. It's a 50s youth melodrama. You have to accept it for what it is.

The themes of loneliness, friendship, longing for love, parenting or lack thereof, toxic masculinity are timeless.

Nah this didnt hold up well at all, so corny and weird. James Dean is almost bad in it? Also he’s not that attractive. I don’t see the appeal whatsoever.

More gay people should know about this movie and watch it. Jim and Plato were originally scripted to kiss this is canon gay material and should be as big in the LGBT community as Dead Poets Society is. James Dean is swag.

Dramati, it is good. The plot is interesting and the acting is good. But there are too many inconsistencies. I liked it but I think it could have been better.
