I definitely recommend watching this film, and be patient. It's worth it. This film takes its sweet time but it is incredibly impactful.

The film spends its time teaching you about our characters and using sad events in their lives to get us to sympathize with them, which just about works. The story for how these characters came to meet isn't really that interesting but it makes sense, feels like it was a bit half arsed.

I'm writing this after watching the film for a second time, so even though I was expecting the ending, it didn't make it any less sad and tense. I'll never forget the surge of emotions, of my first playthrough, when I saw the date on the chalkboard. That moment is when it hit me and I spent a good few seconds in disbelief. This film goes from 0 to 10 in a few written words, they don't even say anything. In the entire climax of the film, nothing is said, no direct comments, which allows the scenes and the music to create the amazing atmosphere. I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry both times after watching this. Expecting it doesn't take away from the experience.

The Five Emojis of Remember Me

------

The only actors who really do something interesting with their given material and put in good performances are Emilie de Ravin and Chris Cooper.

de Ravin plays well together with Robert Pattinson, and they have real chemistry.

The few dramatic scenes are the best parts of this film.

Pattinson is okay, but doesn't leave a lasting impression.

The music or the visuals don't really try to lift this film to another level.

The script is nothing new and it's neither inspiring nor particularly interesting.

It starts out slow and doesn't get going until late into its runtime.

The pacing issues continue throughout the entire film, with a few interesting moments in the middle.

:frowning2:
That ending is emotional, but only because of the cheap final twist that has been thrown in from nowhere for shock value.

Remember Me tries to handle themes of sorrow, loss and desperation but never gets fully immersed in said themes. The story stays in shallow waters all the time.

This is one of those movies where a lot is said and done but nothing ever really happens.

There is really no emotional impact, apart from a few funny moments here and there.

:face_vomiting:
Pierce Brosnan is completely wasted in this film and takes on a terrible accent.

They could have made so much with the story and the themes presented in the film without having to resort to the terrible ending.

Didn't really like this. It is a very depressing movie. A rebellious college kid finds the love of his life. Then once things are going good tragedy strikes.

Honestly, I wanted to watch this movie because of Robert Pattinson. I think most people did. I think his acting was great. I felt like his character is how he is in real life a little. Pierce Brosnan. Handsome as always. Although I really didn't like his character at first, I have to say, paid off in the end. Robert's sister in the movie was great. You just gotta love her character. How can you not?

This is not a heavy drama movie. It's just right. Of course I didn't really like the love interest of Robert in this movie. I mean she kissed him, made love to him (even if it's fake but still!!!), she's a lucky girl and I don't like it. I don't like the ending. It's not really what we call a very happy ending. But even if it's a not-so-happy ending, it still turned out to be a good ending with the things that happened to the characters in the end.

My grade for this movie, B. I recommend it to all Robert Pattinson fans (which I think you've all seen this movie already), people who like love stories, family stories, not-so-heavy-drama movie.
