Kind of cookie cutter football film, that takes place during the desegregation of a high school. I guess I'm getting jaded in my old age but it's sad knowing that after 8 years of Obama setting race relations back 60 years this movie just rings hollow.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest sports movies ever made. The film's story is both heartwarming and inspiring, with a message of unity and overcoming adversity that resonates with audiences. The football scenes are well-executed, and the film's soundtrack adds an extra layer of emotion. _Remember the Titans_ is a true classic that continues to captivate viewers with its excellent performances and powerful message."

One of the best sports dramas ever created thus far as it follows a high school football team in VA who is forced to integrate, thus forcing the current hall of fame coach to take a back seat to a negro head coach. The character and plot development is spot on while the funniness and emotional connections with the characters and their journey is great as they learn to work as a team and not see color as they make their way to the title. Some unexpected, but real life realistic plot twists are thrown in, thus making them cherries on top.

I watched this as a kid, and forgot the titans. Figured I would rewatch it for the 20th anniversary and I forgot how good Denzel is in every movie he is in. This world has issues, but doesn't mean I won't take a win where I can get one.

Remember the Titans is tough to explain because it’s cliché, historically inaccurate, and overly schmaltzy but still manages to achieve its goal of being an inspiring story about a town overcoming racial and political tension through high school football. Carried by the performances of Denzel Washington, Will Patton, and a strong supporting cast, this film defies its ostentatious foundation.

This is a generic sports film but with a great cast who make this film feel really special with their great chemistry and acting skills, the film revolves around an African American football coach taking over a high school football team which has before this been all white in staff and in players but this all changes when the high school get rid of the segregation in the area. The film has a very paint by numbers story but Denzel Washington (Coach) Herman Boone), Will Patton (Coach Bill Yoast), Wood Harris (Julius Campbell), Ryan Hurst (Gerry Bertier) and Ethan Suplee (Louie Lastik) all show the passions of all of these characters perfectly and the character development is really beautiful.

If you like sports films you will love this and just don't expect anything too different :)

'Remember the Titans' tackles some social issues of 1971 to deliver a heartfelt film about an American football team.

Denzel Washington is obviously the star of the show here. He gives a terrific performance as Herman, quite a few excellent scenes involve him; as usual with his films in truth. Will Patton is sound as Bill, while Ethan Suplee is hilarious in his parts as Louie.

Credit to Ronna Kress for the rest of the casting, a lot of well-known faces in this. Ryan Gosling, Ryan Hurst, Hayden Panettiere, Donald Faison - that's pretty impressive.

As with most biopics, it isn't 100% accurate but it does a respectable job at the portrayal of problems of the time - even if it is carried by Washington & Co.
