http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksrPqqXXjwc This was likely the opening of "Riddick" in an earlier draft of the script or what was cut during shooting/editing. It shares much of the voice over from the beginning of the film and essentially is direct storyboards of many of the shots. The additional sequences are action oriented around a single focus. I think this opening would have set the wrong tone for how the film opens, so the decision to make it a short motion comic was a good choice.
