The most fun medeval film ever done and... Not to mention that I think we got pretty darn good performances. My personal favorite is out of Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham, he is absolutely hilarious and a terrific villain.

Prince of Thieves gets a lot of flack--but it's the best adaptation of Robin Hood that we have. It's a classic.

A broader, historicist vision, without taking away emotion.

Overrated. Could have been something without Marian. Now for me the story had potential at the most. The only redeeming quality was Alan Rickman, who was great.

Yes, I saw it again
8th time i've seen this

It's still one of the best movies I've ever seen, it used to be my favorite. (I dare you to say the opposite).

Everything I Do (I Do It For You) is still one of the best songs ever.

Fun fact: many years ago I went on vacation to a house. On the TV it had many channels including Hollywood. Now at that time I loved, idolized this movie. So I watched it live and recorded it. I think that on those vacations I watched this movie once a day, which means I watched it like 8 times... Masterpiece

Still the best, great performances, Kevin Costner's accent is garbage sure but man is this a good movie. Definitely one of my favorites.

Kevin Costner plays Robin Hood in this ill-advised action adventure.

What a mess. Long, convoluted drivel with a terrible lead performance from Costner. It’s probably for the best that he didn’t attempt an accent, but having one of the most God-bless-America super stars in the lead role as an Englishman was a horrific casting blunder.

Alan Rickman is in his element as the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham, the man was born sinister so it comes naturally to him. He’s the tent pole propping up the circus while the clowns play around beneath him.

Morgan Freeman is also in this. He’s the wise black sidekick. One wonders at what point in his career does he realise he’s doomed to play the same role over and over again?

There’s a jokey slapstick tone running throughout which sort-of works and might appeal to kids. However, the film is surprisingly violent so it’s hard to recommend it as one for the children.

Hollywood at its dross-spewing worst.
