Straightforward, Earnest, Emotive

R Madhavan's first directorial venture Rocketry about the life of Rocket Scientist Nambi Narayanan is a true testimony of perseverance and patriotism. The film scores high due to its simplicity and earnest adaptation of a biopic unlike many stereotypical biopics released in recent times. R.Madhavan's conviction is resolute and honest which reflects in his performance and directorial style. With an exceptional ensemble cast, a sparkling presence of SRK himself, and a hard-hitting tale of all the sacrifices by the Narayanan family, Rocketry wins the litmus test of a sincerely made, fair biopic in a sea of unwanted remakes in Hindi cinema.

According to me, the good things about the film are its sincerity and impartial approach to an adaptation with no over-the-top moments. R. Madhavan specifically makes sure that this film doesn't fall into the tropes of commercial cinema and rather sheds light on the atrocities faced by a great man and his family. The casting is terrific, ensembled with fresh new faces and shot in multiple languages. R.Madhavan is scintillating as Nambi Narayanan and expresses true emotions every time he is on screen. If you love honest biopics without cliched theatrics then go for Rocketry.
