I'll be honest, I didn't really grow up on the original Rocko's Modern Life. Now, it's probably because I was born long after new episodes were being made (2003 crew bois), but that does not by any means make this film any less great.

From what I've seen of the show, this movie is exactly in line with its humor, and of course is updated to modern times. Again, I can't say much, because I really haven't seen much of the show. I really love the metaphors it makes about change, nostalgic cashgrabs, unfaithful adaptations, and the general constant pandering in modern media in general. The plot is silly and fun, just as I'd expect it to be, and it really feels more like an extended episode than a movie. The fact that it's only forty or so minutes long is a testament to that fact. I will also say that I really enjoy the representation in this of the LGBTQ+ community, in that it's treated as just a natural thing. It's not forced and doesn't at all come off as pandering (_looking at **you** Steven Universe)_, and I just generally really enjoy how it was handled here.
