"It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." Rocky is really inspirational in this. The whole monologue is just fantastic. The boxing scenes are the best in the series. This would of been a great conclusion for his character but Creed is really good so I'm ok with more.

Rocky Balboa is a wonderful conclusion to one of the greatest film sagas in American cinema. Writer/director Sylvester Stallone takes the series back to its roots, crafting a great story about the triumph of the human spirit. Experiencing difficulties with accepting retirement and the passing of his wife, Adrian, Rocky returns to the ring for an exhibition match against the current world heavyweight champion in an attempt to go the distance one last time. This final chapter returns the series to a character drama that focuses on Rocky’s struggles and his personal journey. Rocky Balboa is a lovely epilogue to the Rocky saga, and gives the character a fitting and uplifting sent off that’s truly inspirational.

Better than most of the sequels, but still not great. It seems like Rocky has been flirting with retirement since 1976, so the overall arc certainly feels familiar, but the time jump gives us a new context that adds emotional weight. Adrian's passing is obviously the biggest change, and the opening act uses this to good effect. The exchange between Rocky and Paulie at the demolished ice skating rink was a highlight. Everything with Rocky's estranged son is less effective and the actual boxing storyline is just more of the same.

As a wrap up to the Rocky series, this is just fantastic. No character in cinema history has been taken to audience's hearts as Rocky Balboa. He's an institution.

Stallone does a rare and wonderful thing here. He ages Rocky like a fine wine. He has developed great wisdom, a sense of his own More

Much like the previous two entries, Rocky Balboa has a lot going for it, but is held back in many key areas.

The entire process that fuels Rocky to fight again is great. It is incredibly heartbreaking to see Rocky so down in his life, coping with the loss of his wife and his estranged relationshi More

You know this was the story that SHOULD have been told in Rocky V, or at least this is the kind of story that should have been told.

Unfortunately it is a story told sans Talia Shire, who along with Burt Young and Carl Weathers are Rocky staples... of course Creed was dead in the timeline, so his More

**_Rocky as a has-been and, maybe, still-is_**

It has been over 20 years since Rocky’s been in the ring. He runs his Italian restaurant in Philadelphia named after his deceased wife while trying to get closer to his distant son, a corporate lawyer, and reacquainting with Marie (the troublesome More
