less of a documentary and more of a reflection movie. Some people talking about their experience watching rom-coms.
I appreciated the fact that they admitted that "diverse rom-coms" do exist.
I always loved rom-coms because of the cliché element. not ALL movies have to tick EVERY SINGLE BOX in the diversity checklist, we have netflix doing that. and come on that's why most of them suck. diverse characters are becoming more and more like props, and it is fraustrating.
I always related to women in rom-coms, even though I am not a WASP woman. seriously lay off with the criticism folks. I miss quality stuff these days :(
_a side note_ they twisted the narratives of SO MANY rom-coms just to make women seem like victims or sth. for real bro? *ugh*
