Pleasantly surprised, cute and whitty, refreshing take on the classic tale.

I have nothing but good things to say about ROSALINE. I've long been familiar with the source material (a little-known play called Romeo & Juliet) and when I saw an ad for a spin-off comedy, I was instantly intrigued.

Kaitlyn Dever brought wit and humor to her role that can't be recreated and is the beating heart of the film. Kyle Allen brought the dopey Romeo to life so well that I choose to forget that he's a major asshole. Sean Teale brought the mystery and romance in a way that it didn't overwhelm the scenes and overshadow the other roles.

The direction of the film is what ultimately brought me in, and what made me stay. It took a script that was only slightly amusing (enough for a 30-minute short, not a feature) and made it funny, heart-warming, and frankly brilliant.

The scenic design was outstanding. Every location was detailed, down to the latches on the doors.

Equal parts funny and silly. Worth the watch.

A fun modern update of Romeo & Juliet in the veins of A Knight's Tale.

Basically Shakespeare fan fiction but a lot of fun.

If you're a stickler for historical accuracy (which is in itself a complicated, loaded term), then this is not for you, as _Rosaline_ wholeheartedly and gleefully embraces the humor in its many anachronisms. It's fun and funny without going the lazy, tired route of completely shitting on the source material (it just pokes playfully at it).

My favorite scene was the awkward conversation in the boat. The true face and destination of any tragic romance if gone right.

This movie was excellent. It was exactly what I was looking for today - hilarious and fun. I laughed more than I thought. The acting was great, too. I highly recommend!

A witty take on the Shakespeare original but not as memorable as that classic play.

YOU KNOW IT'S GONNA BE A GOOD MOVIE WHEN _THIS WILL BE (AN EVERLASTING LOVE)_ PLAYS. (And they also did _All By Myself_!!!)

Younger me was a huuuge Condé fan (Sean Teale played him in _Reign_) so yeah this was ~perfect~.

Well worth a watch. Entertaining, not slow, good acting - the storyline is very original afaik so big points for the idea.
