Some interesting things to know:

On October 24, 1888 (ten days after filming), Mrs. Sarah Whitley (Louis's mother-in-law) died at the age of 72.

On September 16, 1890, Louis Aimé Augustin Le Prince mysteriously vanished just before unveiling his new technology to the public. Neither his body or luggage was found.

On September 20, 1890, Thomas Edison in own handwriting wrote the following small entry: "Eric called me today from Dijon. It has been done. Prince is no more. This is good news but I flinched when he told me. Murder is not my thing. I'm an inventor and my inventions for moving images can now move forward.”

In 1902, two years after Adolphe Le Prince (Louis's son) had testified about his father's inventions in court against Thomas Edison. he was found shot dead on Fire Island, New York.

@zaylia The part about the Edison notebook is, of course, not true  the original source of that text is available online. Although it's from a scientific journal (Materials Today), it was part of a writing competition they were running, so it's a piece of short fiction. For just one of the clues: the first transatlantic phone call was not made until 37 years after Le Prince's death!
