Have you seen Rush Hour? Well, then you do not have to watch this movie! Its exactly the same, only worse. My recommendation? Watch the original again, it's time better spent!

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are back for more buddy cop shenanigans in _Rush Hour 2_. Det. Carter takes Insp. Lee up on his offer to show him around Hong Kong, and the two get caught up in a Triad counterfeiting operation. Unfortunately the comedy isn’t as sharp this time, as Tucker’s constant jokiness and overacting becomes kind of annoying and takes away from the intensity of the action. However, Ziyi Zhang brings a lot of charisma to the film and makes for an intriguing and mysterious villain. And as always, Chan comes through with a number of dynamic and exiting fight sequences. _Rush Hour 2_ is a bit of a generic sequel, but it’s still entertaining and fun.

Both Jackie Chan (Inspector Lee) and Chris Tucker (Detective Carter) are on a different case this time and it is just as fun as the first one but unfortunately lacks originality as it rehashes a lot o what the first film already did, I will say that the scenes in Hong Kong were really great and once again the JC Stunt Team steal the show in some scenes as Jackie fans will not be disappointed by the stunt work. Also I found Chris Tucker a little more funny in this film as he nails the comedic timing in all of his scenes.

Also, unlike in the previous film I will say that the villains in this film are better as John Lone (Ricky Tane) and Zhang Ziyi (Hu Li) kinda steal every scene they are in because you genuinely hate Ricky Tane and lets be honest Zhang Ziyi is just awesome in everything she is in.

I'd say still watch it and you will have some fun, but just expect a lot of what the first film did already and also turn off your brain as otherwise you can pick this film apart.

i never truly liked rush hour, but it was a silly watch that had me laughing at the absurdity. rush hour 2 is everything rush hour was, except take out the parts where rush hour was funny. did not enjoy this movie, even with the vegas part. usually that makes me love a movie but here it just felt, idk. out of place and kinda forced. ngl the bloopers were the best part

I rate Saul Rubinek as the most surprising aspect of this film.

It's very rare that I watch a sequel and think it is just as good as the first movie. Rush Hour 2 is one of those cases. The banter between Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan is great and I love how they switch the roles a bit in this one.
