The nudity is great, but some of the dialogue and no clear story is bad. What I do love about this movie is not being scared of going too far when making metaphors about how silly it is to hide oneself. With that being said, the movie is a rollercoaster of "Oh this is interesting!" to "I am bored, when is it going to end"? For instance, the beginning of the movie feels like it was deliberately slow to make a certain film time.

I would say the movie starts to pick up as soon as we are introduced to the brother. I found the story very interesting in terms of how different their lives are due to the events in the movie.

[Zinegoak] Bruce LaBruce achieves with this rereading of the myth of Narcissus one of his most elaborate films, more precise in the construction of the characters. The story is set in 1972 and has echoes of French horror cinema but begins with an erotic scene in a laundry room reminiscent of the famous Levis 501 spot from 1984. The director is not so interested in the strength of the plot as the impact of the images. And it is in homo-Christian iconography where Bruce LaBruce displays his mischievous gaze.
