Barely a professional production. Horrid script and terrible "action" scenes. Skip it and watch an Italian Lou Ferrigno movie from the 80s instead.

When i saw Ben-Hur (2016) I thought to myself, WTF don't pick up a movie that was already made in the past like a super production in a Epic scale in a time that producers didn't have nothing in terms of technology compared to today and make something so poor. With Samson they made it again and even worse Lack of content poor script lack of scale poor attention to detail this kind of movies aren't meant to be "rushed" they are meant to be EPIC WITH BIG SCALE don't just grab a known story to sell and stop "abusing" special effects where they are not needed. You could make this movie but just don't call it Samson.

From Pure Films comes Samson, a rather lackluster biblical epic. The story follows Samson, a man of destiny called to lead the Hebrews from slavery, but when his wife is killed by a ruthless Philistine prince Samson becomes consumed by vengeance. The cast is pretty weak and gives fairly band and unimpressive performances. And the film’s low-budget is painfully obvious in the cheap costuming, makeup, and sets. Samson might pass for a made-for-TV movie, but it’s just not up to the standards of a theatrical film.

A strong contender for most poorly edited movie I've ever seen. Flies in the face of reason that this ever had a theatrical run.

Samson is a Biblical drama that ironically appears to have been made by Philistines. The movie treats Samson as if he was an Israelite version of Hercules (which he may have very well been); sadly, the only Hercules director Bruce Macdonald seems to knows of is Kevin Sorbo's in The Legendary Journey More
