Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance

I gave the original „Samurai Cop” a score of 2/10, this one gets only 1 - the impossible became possible - someone made a worse movie than the one from 1991. The whole problem with the second one is it's trying waaaaaay too fucking hard to be campy and „so bad it's good”. The original was made to be a serious film. The sequel has nothing of that feeling. It was conceived to be „stupid and nonsensical” from the start of the whole idea and falls short on its face from the get go and never gets up even for a second. Absurd sex scenes from the original one here have some „forbidden taste” of watching regular porn stars trying to be mainstream actresses and Bai Ling tries way too hard to be „crazy bad” (in every sense). The original cast is too self aware to care all that much. All in all not worth a minute, but if you fancy a 1.5h of nothing-makes-sense-here - knock yourself out.
