#2 wasn't an episode but the glue. The poor entries almost made me turn it off several times. Horror hypothesis and one time in the woods were fantastic though in comparison.
Still, even as a fan of this type of meta camp this was meh overall. 4.4

**Excellent use of hilarious frame stories. Absolutely worth watching, unlike most horror anthologies.**

Ahh man this was a bit all over the place....

A few of the stories were good but the rest were just bad. One Time in the Woods was definitely the best segment out of the whole movie though. That was awesome :ok_hand:

Solid practical effects which was the main reason why I kept watching and not fast forward until the end.

Will still check out the sequel though, as I love anthology movies.

It's usually hit and miss with anthologies but in this one I liked all of the segments, even my least favorite was enjoyable. What works so well is the comedy it's actually funny there's so many fun one-liners. The practical effects look great, lots of gore and the electronic music was a perfect choice it feels somewhat retro. The transition between segments doesn't feel forced at all it's very fluid and while the segments are all unique they somehow fit together. It's highly self aware and parodies many movies and uses as many horror tropes as possible. The characters are likable and funny, found myself rooting for a couple of them.

there was just something about this movie i really enjoyed - it was a satirical love letter to classic horror that i really appreciated.
it's far from perfect, but it kept me entertained.
