Cronenberg's Scanners and Dead Ringers had a child, and it has teen angst. Very enjoyable, if a little predictable in places.

A fairly decent film overall that is both a supernatural thriller-type flick and a small part supernatural & crimey. Twins Jonah and Seth have strange powers that allow them to psychically manipulate people's thoughts. They make them hallucinate before forcing them to commit an act they normally wouldn't and film it hoping to seek out "it". The storyline of the movie is good, but I wouldn't call it horror per se. It has no jump scares and a weak atmosphere that doesn't induce fear. Blood does not a horror make. Seconds Apart's pacing was good and slowly built up to a climax fitting for the story, repeating symbols used in the movie again in the final scene. The acting was decent, especially that of Jonah who seemed to be more in the limelight than Seth. This movie deserves a 6.5/10. I might even watch it again.
