Pretty good movie. Only I'm not completely getting it: Simon possesses the weak and the wounded, therefore he is a demon that makes you kill people you love? And Gordon and Mary were both patients there, and they were all released in the 80's when the asylum's budget was cut? Right? Gordon then must be one of the patients that wants to come back, just like the security guy said. So he's actually been working for 20 something years, although he murdered his family, build up a business, just so he can go back to his home-sweet-home-asylum? I don't get it. If someone could explain it to me, I'd appreciate it.

Haha I'm amazed by the high scores here. What were these actors thinking agreeing to be in this?

The camera looks awful, similar to a found footage movie. This wasn't even horror.

OK - bear with me. At first, I thought this was a remake of a movie with the same name from the '80s or '90s with Stacey Keach. But apparently this is not true as I could not find a movie like that. Turns out that I must have seen this movie before then. I liked this movie. It's not a jump-scare horror movie, it's more psychological. The fact that the location that was used for filming did NOT need to be dressed up. That nothing needed to be added to bring atmosphere to the set. That the location/set already looked exactly like what we see on-screen makes the whole thing even creepier.

I had no idea about this movie, it came out 20 years ago and I found about it only today. Watched it on a whim out of curiosity, since I heard it gained quite the cult classic status. I was not disappointed. The movie holds up really well even after all these years, the atmosphere is creepy as hell More
