A very good reimagination of Sherlock Holmes. A movie I love to watch again and again.

(I wonder if they could pull off "Hound of the Baskervilles" in that style. I'd watch that!)

I had a lot of fun watching this!
Guy Ritchie did a great job directing. I was amazed by the way it looks visually, it's beautiful. The CGI looked so real it was excellently done (four years passed since this film was made and there are few recent films that I've seen where the CGI is terrible, they should improve not recede. That bothers me a little) *sorry for the outflow* The plot is believable and Victorian London never looked so modern and fresh. The costume design and the set design were great. The music score were perfect very well suited in each scene.

Great acting by the two leading roles with special attention once again to the amazing Robert Downey Jr. his british accent was very good! The chemistry between him and Jude Law was great. Mark Strong did a great job also as the villian Lord Blackwood.
Overall this film is the perfect combination of humour, suspense and action.

I was for watching this for a while and I'm in a Robert Downey Jr. wave! Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows will be the next.

okay... so basically I like Sherlock Holmes, but this movie was completely different. Was much more like a regular action film which has nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes. I recommend the tv series 'Sherlock' if you want true Holmes & Watson experience ;)

Just an action flick using Sherlock Holmes as a selling point whilst being as far away as possible from the actual characters.

However, the plot is overly complicated and it’s hard to follow the mystery at times. And Ritchie’s directing style, with slow-motion and flashforwards to show Holmes’ thought process, can be a little jarring. Still, the chases and fight scenes are intense and exciting, and the costumes and sets are especially well-done. A fresh and daring take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s work, _Sherlock Holmes_ is an entertaining thriller.

This is a BIG movie! It is made to be a rollicking good time with tons of popcorn munched. Smaller kids will not be able to follow the story, but anyone who has read a Holmes story (and isn't against a little artistic license) should see the film. It is extremely entertaining and fun to watch.

tried to watch cus i like robert downey jr but turned it off halfway through like 5 months ago and i havent turned it back on
