The cast, the acting (not just Shannon, but everyone), the score, the cinematography, the story telling, the dialogues are just near perfect. Mesmerizing 90 minutes.

The great debut of Jeff Nichols, Shotgun Stories, is powerful family drama about revenge. Great story, beautiful cinematography and solid performances from all the cast, specially Michael Shannon with another intense performance. After this, the fantastic Take Shelter and the beautiful Mud I will be looking forward to see what Jeff Nichols will bring us next.

Are you effing kidding me? This thing has high ratings across the board...but that only makes me wonder if I'm the only sane movie-watcher left on this planet. This movie is terrible.
