Stupid, as you would expect, but as an argument for sustainable shopping, this is almost the perfect fit.

Would be much better if this were a short movie. The movie was hilarious and twisty. Not as bloody and gorey as I expected. They drags a lot and repeats some scenes, i find that really annoying.

Wish there were more silly pants scenes. I don't think this movie is nearly as silly-bad as I expected it to be or as serious-bad as other people say it is.

I knew a movie about killer pants would be stupid, still saw it and I was right. It's awful. :wastebasket::poop:

I think that perhaps in the hands of a different director, Slaxx could have proven itself to be a true gem. I like the statement about how Big Business likes to impress the masses with how "woke" they are, but inwardly, they are completely clueless to the real world processes that governs their actions. There's a lot that could have been done there, but I feel it would have landed better in a more subdued narrative.

This of course would have been offset by the brilliant absurdism of the killer trousers. If you're going to go with a vehicle this ludicrous, I say dial it up to 11!

In conclusion, Slaxx was an entertaining romp that could have been so much more.

This is some seriously weird stuff - a comedy horror that actually carries a political message about consumerism and covers it under glib cliches. This must have been what people thought when they watched George Romero movies 30 years ago.

Is it the best movie ever? Nope, definitely not. Should you watch it? Yes, I reckon.

P.S. And I resisted any weak pun around "pants". How good is that??

from the studios that brought us: Turbo Kid & Radius (EMA Films) and Bloody Hell (Entertainment Squad)

yet, it feels like an installment of Hulu/Blumhouse's Into the Dark or even worse, The CW's Two Sentence Horror Stories

This is a gun-shy horror movie which is perfect for me because I'm not into horror movies. But as a commentary on the fast fashion industry I think this works. It has something to say about the industry and it keeps that message in the front and center which doesn't hurt the narrative per se but it does keep it from being something great. I don't think everything has to be great. This movie gets you from point A to point B and there are multi million dollar movies that can't do that. It's not subtle but it is fun and at the end of the day I'm okay with that. I can work with a movie that's fun.
