After a hard day of volleyball at the beach, a teen whose parents are away decides to have a slumber party with her girlfriends. Their boyfriends predictably show up to scare them, but a stranger from the beach is also seen lurking around the house. Soon the group begins experiencing an attrition problem.

I have rarely seen a slasher as generic as "Slumber Party Massacre III". It's obvious that you can't expect much with such a low budget, but a minimum of creativity would be appreciated. The acting is weak, the characters are flat, and the villain is laughably bad. Normally, in a slasher of this type, it can also help if there is at least a bit of gore or a certain level of violence, but that's not the case here either. This movie is just boring; it takes itself far too seriously, and the plot eventually makes no sense at all.

Slumber Party Massacre III is much more like the first one than the second ever was, and is better for it. The story is a bit more fleshed out than any of the two that came before, but the "scare" factor never really materialize. That doesn't mean it's not fun. The twist was good, even though I could see it a mile away, and you got the ever so lovely Maria Ford in here as well. I ended up liking this a bit better than number two, but the first will always be the best of these three.

Much better than the second movie. Dont know why i have rated it only 3/10 when i first saw it. Maybe first time ive seen rated version. 2022-3-23 aiwa/pip/unrated/en

**_By-the-numbers third instalment lacks the imagination of the previous one_**

Five teen girls hold a slumber party when the parents of one of them are out of town. As several guys crash the party someone with a huge drill and murderous intent also invades the proceedings.
