Alan is a stylish tailor with moves as sharp as his suits. He has spent years searching tirelessly for his missing son Michael who stormed out over a game of Scrabble. The genre of father-son struggles has certainly been beaten to death and I am afraid to say that this movie does nothing that we haven't seen before. After reading the synopsis, I expected something far different, especially with the cast involved. However, my expectations were blown away by a unique stylistic approach, a unique acting turn from Nighy, and a semi-comic tone that didn't seem to suit the film's story. In line with the film's title, it sometimes always never stayed in line with the my assumptions, and that my dear friends is a good thing.

Surprisingly comedic and uniquely styled. Bill Nighy is totally likeable while being entirely destructive.
