Yes, this movie is insensitive. It's also foolish - trying to disguise a woman's vulnerability to COVID as a plot point is incredibly stupid. But going beyond the fact that this movie shouldn't have been made at this time, its the fact that the film's script is so weak is the real killer here. Its terrible, being both muddled and unsavory. COVID has already given us enough heartache - this just adds to the misery.

I enjoyed it, it had it faults, but overall it was a good watch.

Probably a reasonable view of what could happen under these circumstances.

It took me about 20 mins to realise the main young male actor, was the character Archie Andrews in Riverdale Tv show; and I find him the most annoying person in the show, but he was completely different in this and I’ve now a different opinion of his abilities, for the better. And he’s hot :see_no_evil: in this film too...sorry lol.

There’s still far better films to watch, but there’s been so many awful films recently, I did enjoy watching this.

The subplots are ok. The main plot pulled the movie down (zero sympathy for the girlfriend).

Episode 10x03
Opportunistic, exaggerated, silly, badly acted and worse than pain this "Immune" produced by Michael Bay. Not even Stormare is able to save her, and that is the only decent thing about the movie. Anyway, move on from it.

It was an okay movie, a bit over-dramatized so people who have been paranoid about the pandemic and lockdown probably shouldn't watch this.
If the movie was more centered around May instead of Nico, the title of this movie would have more of a connection. If they made Sara the "Songbird" instead of an artist, the title of the movie would have made more sense.
All in all, not a movie I would voluntarily watch again.

Taking advantage of a pandemic to create an uninviting mix between romantic story and thriller. Michael Bay produces a film that never finds the right tone due to an absurd script. It gives the impression that the story was stored in a drawer and they decided to produce it by calling covid-23 to a supposed future pandemic.

90 minutes of watching this movie dragged more than a year in an actual lockdown.

Don’t let the ace cast fool you into watching this one, everyone needed work at the beginning of the pandemic...

Awful performance by Sofia Carson. No feelings in her face. All the time with the same face, no matter the situation, family or distance. Nothing

Well i like it, a lot i think! i don't get this whole negativity. i just saw also the blockbuster "Greenland" which was awful and this little independent probably shoot in iPhone has more story and agony. I like the whole premise was well given, the pandemic story of course was well put and the ending was very satisfactory. Really enjoyable 90 minutes. Also, Daddario.

Can also someone explains to me the title and how it address them movie?

So it does seem a little soon and certainly not the most compassionate film when you consider real families are living through this at the moment. To belittle them by compressing this to a love story and forsake all those dying around them seems a little trite.
As a film this is okay. Good performances and interesting subplots. It’s just not welcome at the moment.

The movie wasn't too bad, certainly watchable during this 3rd lockdown. Is it a scene from our future?
The thing that got my attention was the poster - Covid23. This movie was made in 2019 or 2020 but regardless would have been in writing and pre-production/financing in 2018 - way BEFORE we'd even heard of Covid19.

They used the same scare tactics we're getting today along with being warned to 'social distance' (pointless considering the virus was airborne and not transmitted between humans). The good old bandana was safe to use to protect them too!!
If everyone had to stay inside to stay safe - did the home air conditioners have special filters?

@speeddemon just an fyi: the screenwriters came up with the idea in March 2020, so we were well into the pandemic.

this is a very intense and insane pseudo-future of covid-19.
....like what happened to Covid-20, 21, and 22...? The film mentions Covid-23.
Alexandra Daddario has her moments, Mmmmm.
I really enjoyed this film because i really like Peter Stormare and KJ a lot! Like alot alot for KJ Apa he is so hot!

Not sure why so many people are down on this movie.

I'm actually impressed that they were able to shoot this movie mostly during lockdowns and if I remember correctly all of it was shot on smartphones.

The subject matter is timely and relevant. The story is obviously fictional - it takes our current bad situation and turns it up a few notches.

As a side-note - I wonder if anyone is actually immune to Covid 19.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

If you're enough of a prick to make a COVID movie while we're all still in the midst of the pandemic, at least have it be reasonably good. It wasn't. Not even close. I'm expected to sympathize with a woman who spent time in close quarters
with her sick grandmother? And tries to escape even though she might have the virus? Sure, the app told her she didn't have it, but she could have been asymptomatic at the time. Very, very selfish.
