The first half was quirkily funny. And then it spun round towards a disappointing end.

I had no expectations whatsoever going in, didn't even see the poster artwork as my bf put the film on. The cast listed in the titles set some expectations, it's a very solid cast.

I was intrigued early on, wondering where the story might be going, how far it might unfold.
Not far enough, as it turns out. I equally don't know why we never saw Kat again, felt rather unresolved, and the misunderstanding behind the drama in the plot was anticlimactic, for comedic effect, but still, I wouldn't have minded an extra half hour of runtime to give the film a stronger third act.
. I enjoyed the film though, not the sort I'd give a raving recommendation to everyone I know, but there's a few people I know who I'd recommend checking it out. The characters were great, the film felt like a real slice of life.

The writer/director of this film seems to be creating a new genre of film where the idea seems really good, but the execution is ponderous and mystifying as to character motivation and direction.

_Spin Me Round_ is a quirky indie comedy that’s kind of all over the place. The story follows a restaurant manager who’s sent to Italy for a training seminar and ends up having a whirlwind romance with the restaurant’s founder, but before long she starts to suspect that that something sinister is going on at the seminar. Starring Alison Brie, Zach Woods, Molly Shannon, and Aubrey Plaza, the film has a good cast. However, the writing is rather weak; as the plot meanders a bit and goes off in a number of different directions. Yet the mystery is fairly intriguing and takes some fun and interesting turns. It doesn’t all come together that well, but _Spin Me Round _ is entertaining and delivers few laughs.

This was a weird, creepy, pointless film that had _zero_ direction to it. What was Alison Brie thinking in accepting this role?!?

FYI: The actor, Alessandro Nivola, who plays the main character Nick (owner of Tuscan Grove) also played Pollux Troy, the younger brother of Nicholas Cage's character Castor Troy in the movie Face/Off. :exploding_head:

The movie was great until the end......
how come we never heard from kat again? why would they leave that in such an open question
the ending really made it seem like the plot did not matter.

Great cast and lots of funny moments. The story got very messy especially in the third act and I feel like I didn't get enough Aubrey Plaza.

It's tough to say what exactly I liked so much about this movie. For the first act it felt very much like a paint-by-numbers travel comedy. While Alison Brie is great (as she always is) I think the introduction of Aubrey Plaza into the movie is what really gets it moving. Both Brie and Plaza have done some fantastic indie movies in the last decade and their chemistry is fantastic. I really didn't know how the last act was going to go - I thought they did a great job with it. The movie felt extremely authentic.

Not even bisexual alison brie could save this for me.
loved the part where she says, "Please rate this subtitle at www.osdb.link/akaqx
Help other users to choose the best subtitles"
feels like a very rough first draft. the score was just unbearable most of the time. pretty sure this was all just an excuse for the whole cast to have a vacation in italy. well I hope they had fun cause I failed to get any out of this.
