Not as good as the previous ones with a lot of goofy moments mainly because of the Ewoks. They should not have spent so much time on them and their exploits. The most interesting thing about this movie is the relationship between Luke and Vader who settled their problems through an emotional fight which is the best of this trilogy.

I cried more than one hour because of him! Maybe there is someone who never seen this before so I don´t wanna write here spoiler but he is the best character for me so I cried like little kid when it happened. I was all day so sad from that. I was like a zombie..

Besides the Ewoks this is a great movie. It doesn’t quite live up to the two previous but still better than all the prequels.

Easily the weakest of the originals. It suffers from pandering to merchandise and the cutesy and very annoying Ewoks, but it's still a fun and entertaining closing to the original trilogy.

This is the Special Edition that messed up a great movie. From the overly goofy musical number in the Jaba Palace scene that makes the scene less serious now. To the dull musical score in the end that replaced the original score. Lucas just shouldn't have messed with something that didn't messing with.
I mean I never had a problem with Ewoks. Especially when Jar-Jar is far worse. The film was a childhood favorite of mine, the way it was. Was the one I watched over and over again until I realized how great Empire was when I was older.
What was in my opinion a solid film, Lucas made weaker once he messed with it in 1997. Now he forces this version on us as the only version available on DVD or digital.

This movies only saving grace is the scene between Darth Vader, Luke, and the Emperor. Otherwise this was a complete mess. You can tell George Lucas lost his damn mind when it came to ROTJ. If you look back the Prequels really aren't that surprising considering what he did with this one.

The last episode of Lucas' original "Star Wars" saga. Nothing special, but a decent movie anyway (and as part of the Star Wars saga a must-see none-the-less).

I've seen it in 6 different decades now and I'm still an emotional wreck after sitting thru it

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Return of the Jedi’:

1. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed the Ewoks.
2. It was particularly great seeing Luke and Leia’s bond strengthen.
3. It looks like Anakin brought balance to the force after all.

As always on top off all and the force will always be strong in this one.

Most people adore the Ewoks but for me the film loses a star because of them

The third chapter in George Lucas his original Star Wars trilogy is tainted by the desire to make money and a film that children will love and buy toys for. All of that being said, the final face off between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader along with the emperor is why I give this film seven stars. The Ewoks walks were supposed to be Wookiee.
Luke was supposed to walk off alone like the lone gunman. Harrison Ford wanted Han Solo to die.

All of these character arcs ended up taking place over the course of the next two trilogy’s.

But had at least one of them happened here we would’ve had a stronger movie.

Definitely deserves a higher rating then 10/10, Anakin’s(and darth vader) story arc through every movie and book is incredible, I’ll always be a die hard Anakin/Vader fan.

P.s. in the very end when the force ghosts see Luke, they should replace the older obi wan (Alec) with Ewan
