This movie is on my top 10 list of favorite movies of all time! I can watch it over and over, and I do, and still love every line.

Watched this because I asked my fiancé "What's the deal with Dolly Parton? Why do people love her?" and next thing you know we are watching Steel Magnolias. I am so glad we did because this movie is so wholesome and the characters are so likeable. It's hard not to fall in love with Truvy and Ouiser, and there are some surprises in there.

Unique characters, a story that feels real with both laughter and sadness. All these great women of Hollywood shine in their characters, but Sally Field shines brighter in my opinion. The scene at the cemetery is marvelous! Filled with great quotes, but a personal favorite:
“I would rather have 30 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special”
