There are few decent things in this film, those would be Raul, and few jokes worth a quick laugh. But in the end, this film borders on so bad it’s good but even falls short in that category. It’s mostly just a bland plot, bad acting, and features cheese ball versions of the characters from the famous game franchise. Zangief offers the best advice “Quick, change the channel.”

Street Fighter is a silly and stupid movie. Objectively it is quite bad. Despite that, there is enough in it to make it worth a watch every decade or so. The things that stick out to me in no particular order are: - The script is laughably bad but there are some great lines: "Unlike you, he's not a psychopath" or "Well I'm the repo man. And you're out of business." - Raúl Juliá crushes it with his portrayal of M. Bison. - JCVD's performance is the polar opposite of Juliá's. I never really played Street Fighter, but I can't imagine that it's full of fighters that are part of a UN-knockoff called the Allied Nations that have a stealth boat. I'm also not sure that the way the stealth technologies work like it does in the movie... The recurring joke with the Bison dollars had me laughing each time it came up. I love how randomly Bison claims it will be worth 5 British Pounds after he's going to kidnap the Queen. It's silly, but Juliá does sell the performance.

Some people claim this is a bad movie... true. Some people claim this movie is a bad translation of the video game it's supposed to be based on... true. Some people claim it's the worst ever... trust me, I've seen worse.

From times when game adaptations were really terrible. It didn't get that much better, but definitely better than these and Boll's rampage which in my opinion very badly hurt the name of game-inspired movies. Acting is in most cases very bad. It's nice to see some actors which then became pretty known later. The music is one of the best parts of the movie. I also liked some of the costumes, especially Bison's. This went badly, but hopefully, in the future game inspired movies will get a good name as fantasy did

The stunt work was alright but ultimately pretty forgettable, although at least the late Raul Julia seemed to be having a blast as Bison and Ming-Na Wen as Chun-Li was cute. However, the goofiness was a bit much and was more cringe than funny. **2.25/5**
