Good spoof that seems like it influenced Scary Movie. Maybe even Scream.
The humour isn't laugh out loud but if you're into ridiculous comedy you should be watching with a smirk or at least with an appreciation. It could have sometimes had better characterisation for a spoof, even if that meant more cliché, quirks and stupidity, with a straight character to enhance the surrealism. Scenes are sometimes also too long for there purpose and this slows down the movie. The dialogue is gag orientated with no character development, which hurts in the long run. I also wanted more creative scenes ideas (even for a spoff) and interesting plot (I know it's a spoof). This is where Scary Movie capitalised by seeing the mistakes in this movie and avoiding them. Does it have anything Scary Movie doesn't? Well it's the first of its kind. Having pointing out all the faults they are at least faults of slashers themselves. It's too rigid to the slasher formula which happens to be pretty awful.
It's like the movie was written by a gag writer who does an amazing job yet doesn't think enough about the story or structure and neither the audience. I wish it was co-written. It could have been awesome.
Full of ridiculous gags and some smart ones in the vein of The Simpsons at its best. It's got Malvert in it! Malvert takes it up a rating point.

**_Spoof of early slashers_**

A heavy breather is murdering teens from a high school in southeast Texas, usually while they’re engaging in sex.

"Student Bodies" (1981) satirizes slasher flicks like “Halloween” and “Friday the 13th” with a high school milieu of baby sitters getting strange calls, funerals, classes, teachers, football games, parades, proms and the like. It starts out amusing enough with decent goofy humor, but as it progresses there’s too much tastelessness, which is simply offensive or eye-rolling and not actually funny.

Still, there are some highlights if you’re in the mood for a moderately amusing throwaway flick.

The film runs 1 hour, 26 minutes, and was shot in Katy, Texas, a town just west of Houston.
