Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. Jack ends up in a feud with a local yachtsman, and has to race him to regain his pride and family's respect.

The main reason to watch this is John Candy. Candy was filled with joy comedically and dramatically. The film is not great, but his presence is irresistible.

Absolutely hilarious. Why? Forget about the weak plot and cheap storyline. John Candy, comedy legend. It’s a film to laugh and enjoy many times over. One of my favourite Candy films.
