One of the most boring movie I have ever watched. Definitely not worth a second watch

Quite interesting sci-fi horror about killer fungi living deep below the surface. I really wanted to like it but there's so much wasted potential in here and it’s way too long for what it is. The production is top-notch. The visual effects and set design are the best part of this film. Those gnarly gross effects and the monster design look fantastic. It starts out really promising but then it kinda loses its steam in the middle. It could've been a simple but great monster film if it wasn't trying too hard to be more than that. It's just hard to keep my interest. It falls apart towards the end with lots of issues. The dialogue is terrible, there are some unnecessary slow-mo with sad music in the background, and lots of confusing characters' action. The characters fail to show any significant emotion, especially when they're in danger. The relationship between Anna and that soldier feels forced and make zero sense to the story.

this movie was so dumb. it made no sense at all. several major things that happened made literally NO SENSE in the context of the plot, so it really just seemed more like a 'because i said so' movie than one that's built on even just some basic logic. the concept had a lot of potential, but this was just a poorly written script. also annoying that you can see the voice over through the whole movie because the audio isn't synced up correctly with the video, or at times the voice over would speak too quickly and you could see that it wasn't very well done. this one was kind of a disappointment.

Don't waste your time like I did, IWTKMS

This was by far one of the longest movies that simultaneously held little to no plot. Excellent premise. Failure in execution. But hey, gotta give credit to the film makers for getting the mousy scientist to take her clothes off and toss water over her head for the wet tank top competition. :rolling_eyes::joy::joy:

Surprisingly good. Great setting, interesting story and exciting despite some weak moments. Definitely an insider tip for fans of horror and sci-fi. Hope for a sequel

I am watching it for the second time now, HaHA, in English. I just love this kind of B movies even more than the blockbusters. The key is to lower your expectations.

*Superdeep* definitely had *The Thing* vibes and reminded me of other similar ones like *The Void*, *Alien vs Predator*, and a little bit of *Pandorum*. I'm super glad Shudder picked this up 'cause the premise sounded super intriguing. The directing style and soundtrack was interesting, and the practical special effects were very well done. Expect a lot of dark scenes and lots of red. Be warned, it's a slow-paced sci-fi spooker (all the S'! :sweat_smile:), but still an interesting and solid one from Russia. The English dub matched the characters well though.

A cool idea, but not executed very well. If you can find somewhere to watch it in original Russian, I would recommend that as well. The dubbing is horrible.
