Not a movie I would have usually sought out, but I'd heard enough positive buzz to give it a shot. I absolutely loved it.

There is a huge cast of characters crammed into this movie, and they are all interesting in their own right, with internalised thoughts and feelings that we are free to imagine.

The movie is a great blend of comedy and drama, and provided me with insight into a slice of life I'm not usually exposed to. I'd highly recommend this movie to anyone.

Eeeh... it’s fine. A more than decent drama with a laudable message about depressing realities. I think critics overhyped this one quite a bit. Or maybe i’m simply not made for Andrew Bujalski flicks. I never hated one of his movies but also never loved any of them. My eternal indifference concerning his work remains unshaken for now.

91% fresh ? did we all watch another movie ?
ok i will admit i saw it for Haley Lu Richardson but there was nothing going on. The story was , actually no story just random acting. i didn't understand the plot at all , the production was from an iPhone or something, there are scenes that you just see half the face of the actress , did the producer actually saw the film before releasing it ?

oh and Haley Lu Richardson :love_letter:

The script could have been tighter, but otherwise, this was a better film than I was expecting.

_Regina Hall_ made a tremendously great job with this performance. Her character proved that an African American woman totally can be in a responsible position, although she must take some shit from men, in this case from her boss. This movie can be labeled as important, but not at all in a repulsive or cheesy way. Rather that it warns us we shall pay a lot more attention to the current situation of women in this world.

However, my biggest concern is that all the other women who appear are depicted in an excessively toxic way. Felt like it made a statement these waitresses are shallow, superficial and don't pursue any goals in life, don't want to break out and we couldn't get to know any particular and interesting information about them except _Lisa_.

This movie had a little bit more than what it might appear on the surface.  But make no mistake about it - Regina Hall makes this film better than it probably had any right to be.  She did a fantastic job playing a character who displayed grace and strength while everything was falling down around her.  Conversely I can't imagine why Haley Lu Richardson took a role that was so empty.  It was odd seeing her in this film after the amazing job she did in _Columbus_.
