Absolutely Terrible. The plot is paper thin. There's a few enjoyable throw backs, but it doesn't make up for the absolutely terrible story. As for Megan Fox, I didn't really notice her because I couldn't get over the weak plot. The CGI is decent, except for Shedder who is mediocre at best. The humor is a weird mix of humor too mature for kids but not mature enough for adults. Actually that is essentially the problem with this movie. It's PG-13 rating (primarily for the humor and partially for the action) puts it in a weird position. TMNT has always been an amazing series for the 7-12 age range. Michael Bay attempted to make a movie for the adult fans of the series. However, it never became dark enough to hold the attention of anyone over the age of 12. Maybe download it or rent it off Redbox, if you want a 'trip down memory lane'. But honestly, I still would just rather watch the 90s cartoon series.

from the very first "reveal" of what the turtles looked like i expected this to be really bad. finally watched it and it wasn't as terrible as i thought it would be. it definitely can't compete with the old movies but i didn't think the story was as bad as the other reviews. it was a little ridiculous that splinter learned martial arts from a picture book he found in the sewer, but if they were raised in a lab how else were they supposed to squeeze that in? if you go into it without expecting too much it's not bad.

It was better than I thought it would be. The CGI of Splinter though, horrible, just horrible.

Nah, expected more from this. Storyline non existing. Curtwagner1984's review sums it up pretty much.

I don't get it why it is so hated the turtles were portrayed good like in the cartoons Yeah you can say that Shredder wasn't very good but you know that Shredder is the heart of the franchise so he could not be deleted The jokes are funny especially the one in the elevator The action is good but not the best and also don't hate on Michael Bay he is not the worst director Overall is a good movie that I would rewatch it with pleasure

Flat, generic, CGI-filled. 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' bored me, unfortunately.

I have a slight memory of seeing bits of TMNT when I was younger but never intentionally watched it, though have always been interested in viewing a film with them in. So in that sense, this disappointed. It just has nothing about it, no character or charm whatsoever. No reason to care for any of the onscreen bunch. Very plain.

None of the cast stick out, particularly the voices. Megan Fox is probably the best this has to offer, though I didn't mind William Fichtner either... Whoopi Goldberg shows up in an alright minor role too, I guess?

I found little to zero of the action scenes entertaining, not helped by some questionable editing and music. Another issue I did also notice is the humour, which falls flat at almost every opportunity - especially with the grating Michelangelo (Noel Fisher).

I'll check out the sequel, because I always going to, but I ain't expecting much! This 2014 film isn't worth seeing.

Like Saturday morning breakfast cereal: it goes and quick and doesn't get soggy.

Non stop action and great CGI made for an enjoyable watch, although the cringe ass jokes left a really bad taste in my mouth.
