Expected an entertaining low budget alt history mockumentary thingy of some sort. Got a shite production tinfoil hat non-thriller where absolutely everything is disappointing.

You can tell effort has been put into making the faux history events believable. Too bad it wasn't put on the actors, direction, script, camera and lighting. The effects for the dream sequences are funny because they are so bad. I'm not normally bothered by lower quality production if the story is good, but here I can't help but get annoyed by the over exposed footage while a cavalcade of sub-par actors and US president impersonators do performances that make stale bread dry look engaging.

But then again, I don't think it's really made to be a movie. I think it's made to be a conversation piece for conspiracy theorists. Too bad it's too bland to be entertaining for the rest of us.
